Job Summary

* All job inquiries and interviews will be kept completely confidential

  • Work with customers to ensure all needs and wants are taken care of regarding landscape bed maintenance
  • Candidate will be responsible for weeding landscape beds, hand pruning shrubs and perennials, light tree trimming, light lawn string trimming, and other yard and landscape related tasks
  • Design and plant raised planters and pots with annuals ­Order materials necessary to complete the listed tasks above
  • Monitor and track materials and tools ensuring maintenance van is continually stocked with all common items used to complete tasks
  • Communicate face to face with customers regularly to identify and make recommendations on plants, shrubs and trees best suited for specific locations on their property
  • Communicate with customers in a professional manner
  • Competitive wages starting at $14/hr and up depending on experience ­Ample overtime during the work season

Job Requirements

  • 2 or more years of horticulture related experience
  • Ability to communicate with customers professionally and regularly to answer questions and solve problems
  • Significant knowledge and experience in caring for trees, shrubs, and perennials ­Excellent plant and tree identification skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Candidate must be a self­starter willing to work both alone and with others
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Candidate must have an excellent eye for detail, ensuring customer’s properties stay looking “prim and proper” throughout the growing season.
  • Willingness to work long hours to get the job done on time
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in horticulture or similar field is required ­
  • Applicators license preferred
