Weller Brothers provides the highest quality landscape design and construction services to clients in Sioux Falls, Rochester MN, and the surrounding communities. Because we are growing, we are looking for a motivated and passionate Horticulturist to become part of our team.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Conduct Horticulture service visits including weeding landscape beds, hand pruning shrubs and perennials, splitting and transplanting, light tree trimming, light lawn string trimming, and other yard and landscape related tasks
• Work and communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and quality standards are being met
• Design and plant raised planters and pots with annuals and seasonal decor
• Order materials necessary to complete tasks
• Monitor and track materials and tools inventory
• Communicate face-to-face with customers regularly to identify and make recommendations on plants, shrubs and trees best suited for specific locations on their property
• Communicate with customers in a professional manner

Job Requirements

• Must have experience in the horticulture field
• Applicators License required
• Must be able to work 5-6 days a week
• Eagerness, ability, and willingness to learn
• Ability to communicate with customers professionally and regularly to answer questions and solve problems
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Exceptional leadership skills
• Self-starter
• Hold teammates accountable for timeliness, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Willingness to work long hours to get the job done on time
